How Do I Import Content into Veracity Launch from My Authoring Tool?

From your authoring tool, export the content as a SCORM, xAPI/TinCan, or cmi5 package (a ZIP file). Then you'll import the package into Launch, as outlined below.

Some tools let you configure LMS and LRS setting when you package, others don't. Luckily, Launch adapts well in either case.

How to Upload a ZIP to Launch

Once you've packaged your course, and know the location of the ZIP file, then you just transfer it to the LMS.
  1. Login to Veracity Launch.
  2. In the left menu, under Admin, select Manage Content.
  3. At the top of the page, click the Add Content to this portal button.
  4. Click the Upload SCORM or XAPI tile.
  5. In the Upload Learning Content page, click the Add Files button.
  6. In the file dialog box, navigate to and select the correct Compressed (zipped) Folder.
  7. Select the Upload All button.
  8. Wait for the file transfer to finish.
  9. As needed, click Edit Settings, Upload Image, or Enrollments. You can change any of these later.
  10. When finished, click the Close button.

How to Integrate an LRS

Again, some tools let you preemptively configure the package to send xAPI to an LRS you specify within the tool. If not, then you can still get whatever xAPI the package may generate into an LRS by configuring it in Launch.
  1. Login to Veracity Launch.
  2. In the left menu, under Admin, expand Manage Integration, and click LRS and xAPI Integration.
  3.  In the Manage LRSs page, click the Create LRS integration button.
  4. Fill-in the form with the:
    1. LRS Name
    2. Endpoint URL
    3. Username (Key)
    4. Password (Secret)
  5. When complete, click the Add Integration button.
Once integrated, any package that emits xAPI will passively send it to this LRS.

How to Edit a Course Configuration

After you've added a course to the Veracity Learning LMS and integrated it to an LRS, you can edit the settings of each course to perform in a specific way.
  1. Login to Veracity Launch.
  2. In the left menu, under Admin, click Manage Content.
  3. In the bottom-left of the tile for the course you want to configure, click the More icon (three vertical dots).
  4. In the pop-up context menu, click the Advanced Edit option.
  5. In the Edit Activity dialog box, you can edit the:
    1. About” course descriptions
    2. Player Playback settings
    3. Data Tracking learning standard
    4. xAPI Configuration ID
    5. Student Attempts and Enrollments
  6. When finished, click the Save button.

We're constantly improving Veracity Launch. So, check back for any changes in these procedures.
