Who Can See My Analytics Report?

All LRS users.

Everyone who can sign-in to your instance of Veracity Learning and can open the LRS with the Analytics Report; they can see it. However, do not give people access to your LRS just to view a report! That would unnecessarily expose all the data in there. 

Why should I worry about access to LRS data?

Underneath the original question is the issue of who has access to the data in your LRS. The reason you should worry about who has access is because the xAPI data in your LRS can include sensitive information that you must protect:
  1. Personally Identifiable Information (PII), such as learner IDs and email addresses.

  2. Performance information about individual learners (also in Analytics Reports)

  3. Correct answers to test questions, high scoring paths in scenarios, etc.
Notes
If you are the administrator of the LRS, then do not give access to your LRS to people you do not want to see the data in there!

How can I export an Analytics Report?

For comparison, you can share links to Analytics Dashboards with confidence, because you can limit and customize what the viewer sees, and the viewer cannot navigate to other parts of the LRS. 

In contrast, the Analytics Reports gather a “snapshot” of learner performance data and save it for viewing in the LRS, later. However, you can export that data for review by external authorities with a need to know, but who don’t need access to the LRS otherwise. 

To export a report:
  1. In the left menu, click Analytics > Reports.

  2. In the Manage Reports table, in the row for the report you want to export, click the More icon () in the Actions column.

  3. In the pull-down Actions Menu, click Export.


The Downloads folder for your browser now has a CSV file copy of the report’s contents, which you can edit — redact, if needed — and share.
