Updating Your Account

You can adjust your learner account in the Veracity Launch Portal, as needed.

To change your Veracity Launch account password:
  1. In the left menu, click Account > Account.

  2. In the Account page, click the Update Password card.

  3. In the Reset Password page, enter your Old Password and New Password, and Confirm New Password.

Notes
If you haven’t already, you may want to make a note of your new password.
  1. When complete, click the Update Password button.

Change Your Avatar Icon

With your new learner account, Veracity Launch randomly generated an avatar icon for you. However, we’ve also integrated Launch with Gravatar, a free online service that lets you save a profile picture, associate it with your email address, and link it to your account.

To update your account profile picture:

  1. In the left menu, click Account > Account.

  2. In the Account page, click the Set up Gravatar card.

  3. In the Gravatar login, enter your Email Address (or sign-in to Gravatar using credentials from another account: e.g., Google, Apple, or GitHub).

  4. The Gravatar site will send you an email message with a verification code.

  5. Enter the code to open the Gravatar editor.

  6. Upload an image to use as a profile picture.

  7. When complete, your new picture will appear in the Veracity Launch Portal.

Set Up Two-Factor Authentication

If you’re running the Veracity Learning Portal in a browser in a highly-secure system that needs identity verification beyond just a username and password, then set-up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your Portal account.
  1. In the left menu, click Account > Account.

  2. In the Account page, click the Set up 2FA card.

  3. In the Enroll in Two Factor Auth page, scan the QR code with your smartphone or tablet running an authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator or Okta Verify).

  4. When the app returns a numeric code, enter it in the Auth Code field.
Notes
Enter the numeric code quickly. It changes frequently.
  1. Click the Enroll button.
From now on, every time you sign-in to the Portal,  as well as entering your username and password in the browser, you must now also enter a 2FA code from the app on the other device.
