Tableau Integration

Using the Tableau Web Data Connector, you can import your saved Statement Viewer reports from the Veracity Learning LRS into Tableau for further analysis.
Notes
The Connector can only pull saved Statement Viewer reports. If you have none, then you must first create a report in the LRS Statement Viewer.
Notes
The Connector does not support reports with the Full Text Search option enabled.
  1. Open Tableau, click the Server menu option, and click Connect > To a Server > Web Data Connector.


  2. Enter the URL of the Tableau Data Connector for your LRS, which is the URL of your LRS, plus /tableau. For example, https://lrs.io/ui/lrs/your_lrs_name/tableau.

  3. Click the Log in button.

  4. The LRS will ask you to log-in.

The Connector currently does not support logins that use two-factor authentication.
  1. In the Tableau Data Connector dialog box, click the Select Report pull-down menu and choose the saved Statement Viewer report in the LRS to import. The dialog box will then show the column names.


  2. In the Tableau Data Connector dialog box, click the Fetch Data button at the bottom.

  3. Tableau will show you the table name and columns for confirmation. At the bottom-left, click Sheet1 to extract the data.


  4. Tableau will start to pull data from the LRS. This may take some time depending on the size of your Statement Viewer report. We’ve tested this tool to 10 million rows.

  5. Once it has finished importing the data, you can view and analyze your xAPI data in Tableau.
