How to get LRS data into Power BI

You can easily connect the Veracity LRS to Microsoft Power BI. In the LRS, save a Statement Viewer report and create an API key. In Power BI, configure and activate a data download channel with this information.
  1. In the LRS, in the left menu, select Management > All Management Tools.

  2. In the Manage page for your store, scroll down to the Security section, and click the API Keys menu option.


  3. Click the Create New API Key button.


  4. In the Create API Key page, enter a name for your key, then click the Create button.


  5. On the Manage API Keys page, in the record for the new key, click the “eye” icon to show the API Key Value, then copy the value.


  6. Switch to the Power BI app, open the Get Data dialog, select Other > Web.


  7. In the From Web dialog box, select Advanced. Then, in the HTTP request header parameters section, select the header x-veracity-api-key, and paste the API key.


  8. Switch back to the LRS, and in the Configure Statement Viewer panel, find your saved report and click the Integration button to the right. From the pop-up dialog box, copy the URL.


  9. Switch back to Power BI, and in the URL parts section of the From Web dialog box, paste the URL. 


  10. Click the OK button. Then click Load. 
Now, Power BI will download your data.
