Recently, we added a new feature to our dashboards that we call the AI Insights Assistant. It’s a new tool for easily scanning your charts for important trends, patterns, and other important statistical observations.
Running Analyze Mode
To start the AI Insights Assistant:
- From the home page of the LRS, in the left menu, click Analytics > Dashboards.
- Load the dashboard with the widget you want to analyze.
- Scroll to the widget you want to analyze and, in the lower-right corner of the widget, click the Analyze Mode button.

- You should then see a pop-up like this:

Depending on the complexity of the widget, the pop-up may take several minutes.
To copy the text from the pop-up, select it with your cursor and press CTRL+C on your keyboard.
To copy the image in the widget, click the close button (X) in the upper-right corner of the popup and click the Widget Menu button in the upper-right corner of the widget and select Export PNG from the popup menu.
Requesting More AI Analysis Credits
The AI Insights Assistant uses a popular commercial chatbot to process its analyses. However, the chatbot is free to use only for a limit amount.
If you see the message “Insufficient AI analysis credits.
Contact us for additional credits”, then click the link to submit a new Helpdesk ticket requesting more AI analysis credits.
Using the LRS MCP the Same Way
We built the
AI Insights Assistant at about the same time as we developed our
AI Integration key. The two features overlap in that you can ask an AI agent running the LRS MCP to do the same thing as the AI Insights Assistant. Just configure your favorite chatbot with our MCP (
as outlined in the article), tell it the name of the dashboard and the chart, and ask it to briefly analyze the chart looking for patterns and outliers.
