Veracity Learning provides alternative access by allowing for exports of the data and textual reports. The graphical nature of the product makes extensive use of specific user interface, programming, and charting elements that cannot be made to meet accessibility requirements beyond the alternative text reports. Veracity Learning's Analytics Platform makes extensive use of visualizations and 3rd party libraries outside of Veracity’s control. The Learner Portal also cannot be made fully accessible due to the ability for the end customer to customize the UI. For the Analytics Platform, alternative access is available through exporting the data and then utilizing the data with an external tool. The documented steps on how to export data for alternative access are provided below.
Exporting Data for Alternative Access
1. Navigate to "xAPI Data > Statements" and then choose the "Options" feature.
2. Export the data in the JSON or CSV format. See screen capture below.
Note that this is all data. If you need to export a subset of xAPI statements, try configuring the Statement Viewer with the search query you need, then export the data using the "Options" button.
3. If you select, "Export Statements" this will immediately start streaming a JSON array of xAPI statements, and your browser will prompt you to choose a location to download them to. If you select "Download CSV" this will download the data in the CSV format.
4. Open the CSV file in Microsoft Excel and save the file as a .xlsx file. Then enable the Accessibility checker. See screen capture below.
