Accessibility Compliance

Following Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 AA guidelines, we designed the browser-based services of the LRS so almost everyone has access to most of the user interface. For example, where possible, we use high contrast colors; you can press the tab key to cycle-through controls and press the space bar to select them; and buttons have text labels and icons have alternative text titles.

Yet, we couldn’t make sure everyone has access to every part of the Veracity Learning LRS.

The Learner Portal might not always be accessible because administrators can customize its user interface.

The Statement Viewer and Analytics Dashboards extensively use third-party libraries for user interface, programming, and charting elements that we cannot feasibly make meet accessibility guidelines. However, we still offer the same data through alternative means…

Exporting Data for Alternative Access

  1. In the Statement Viewer, click the green Options button at the far right; or in a Dashboard chart, click the Widget Menu icon (three vertical dots) at the far right.

  2. In the pull-down menu, select Download CSV or Export Excel.

  3. Your browser will copy the data to a file in its Downloads folder.

  4. Open the file in a spreadsheet program.

  5. Now, you can access the data using a screen reader of your choice, like Windows Narrator, JAWS, or NVDA.
